Raw Fairies

Vogue's Secret Address Book

Vogue DecVogue has this to say about the Bonnington Cafe, where Raw Fairies runs a raw food night every second, fourth and fifth (if there is one) Sunday of the month:

"This bohemian vegetarian and vegan eatery has an interesting twist - no single person runs the restaurant.  Instead, it's maintained by a collective of member cooks who also contribute to the overall running of the venue .... each chef brings his or her own style and background to the cafe's veggie fare."

To book your table, send an email to anya@rawfairies.com or call 07879 246 501.

Get the glow....

  Glowgetter yum Diary

Christina has been speaking to Georgie Wolfinden, the gorgeous and impressively health-aware co-founder of glowgetter. The glowgetter team love bringing us an authentic, carefully chosen selection of the most exciting new discoveries, products and stories in wellbeing, health and natural beauty. Accordingly to Tatler "Celebrities, beauty insiders and It girls all rely on glowgetter for the hottest new beauty finds - think net-a-porter.com for your bathroom."  Quite right: glowgetter is one of the few places to carry a range of raw skincare, which they hope to expand in time.

This month they were talking superfoods and wanted to know what we have in the Raw Fairies cupboards!  Read all about it at glowgetter.

Or take a look at one of our favourite features on the glowgetter site, the Nearly Green Goddess.

Dr Stuart's amazing teas

Liver Detox teaWe are really pleased to be working with Dr Stuart's to offer our Botanical Cleanse clients tasters of delicious and therapeutic teas to support our detox programme.  Our particular favourite is the Liver Detox variety.  It's a revitalising herbal tea made with a unique blend of herbs known for their ability to purify the system and help flush out toxins.  Peppermint, dandelion root, liquorice root and chamomile combine with milk thistle and the age-old remedy centaury herb to detoxify your body.  Milk thistle - a tall spiny plant with white-veined leaves - is rich in silymarin, a powerful antioxidant which is thought to help protect the liver from toxins.  Try some yourself from the lovely website www.drstuarts.com.

Dear Detox Diary

Grove cover

Lydia Williams from Grove Magazine tried our 12 day Botanical Cleanse.  She shared some thoughts that we liked a lot.

On Day 2: "I wait for the horrible side-effects and pangs of hunger, but none kick in.  I just feel holier than thou."

Then on Day 8: "My jeans fall down this morning."

And on Day 12 (the last day): "... the most rewarding result is a sense of clarity and vitality

Raw Fairies is a winner for executive lunches

The September issue of Executary News features Raw Fairies as an exciting name on the market for corporate catering, remarking that meals are "enticing, beautifully presented and flavoursome" and noting that they are "significantly healthier, tastier and more memorable than any other offering".  So ditch your mid afternoon nap-inducing lunchtime sandwich and opt for a brain-boosting green smoothie, sunflower seed burrito with fresh avocado guacamole and nut cream, and slice of raw chocolate mousse cake instead.  We are happy to discuss discounts for group office bookings.

Go to http://www.executary.co.uk/ to read the article online (pages 24-25).

New Botanical Cleanse photos

Angela Chan, the British Photography Journal's rising star, took some more great shots of our Botanical Cleanse menu.   One of the things we love about our programme is the fact that you can eat gourmet food while getting healthy.

Courgette pasta   Sprouted salad

Vogue cover

Calgary Avansino, the beautiful and health-conscious Executive Fashion Editor of Vogue, tried out the 12 day Botanical Cleanse.

Read what she thought of it in her three page diary, starting on page 423 of the October issue (Kate Moss is on the front cover, always a good sign......).

Raw Fairies featured in the London Metro

Would you like great health, without the hassle?  Lisa Scott, Health Editor of the Metro, wrote that this is what Raw Fairies offers.  She said: "Within a few days of pure food, I could almost feel the vitamins tingling inside me and by the end of the week, I'd lost three pounds."  Lisa thought our sunflower chilli burrito was "delicious" and our chocolate macaroons "as satisfying as a Mars bar dipped in a creamy coffee".

Botanical patisserie

We were fortunate enough to have our new range of botanical patisserie photographed by the legendary Angela Chan, www.angelachanphotography.co.uk.  We wanted something in Japanese minimalist style to show off the food, and Angela executed her brief perfectly.  For those who haven't tried before (and why would you have?), trust us when we say that food photography is really difficult.  It requires great skill to do it well.  In fact, the majority of the food photos you see will be of a 'mocked up' dish, whereas Angela shot our cakes freshly prepared.  Once you've salivated over the images below, try one out for yourself by ordering through our website, or email us on info@rawfairies.com.  Bon appétit!
